Le Marais, meaning "The Marsh," is one of Paris's most captivating and historically rich districts. Spanning parts of the 3rd and 4th arrondissements on the Right Bank of the Seine, it is a vibrant neighborhood where centuries of aristocratic splendor, revolutionary turmoil, and cultural dynamism are etched into its very cobblestones. Once a swampy expanse, it transformed into the favored residence of French nobility in the 16th and 17th centuries, leaving behind a legacy of magnificent private mansions known as hôtels particuliers. Known for its elegance, its no surprise that this salvaged French reclaimed terra cotta tile lot from a dilapidated building in this district, exudes an elegance. The colors are soft blush, camel, clay and cream with touches of a cool blue, creating a delightful contrast and sparkle to the overall warm colorway. This is a sophisticated color palette to design with. The surface is a stone patina and the edge detail is worn from centuries of use. Beautiful for a kitchen floor, dining space and entry.
