Antiqued French Oak Flooring for Subtly Rustic, Elegant Interiors

Artisanally crafted for those who desire historic interiors, but with a more traditional aesthetic, these floors are perfect for period homes that require a more nuanced historic footprint. This is a French oak flooring collection with a smooth, brushed surface and satin matte patina.  Using new French oak planks, our woodworkers and technicians begin the 7-10 step oxidation method, with drying time in-between, to age the oak from the inside out.  The oxidation method works within the tannin of the oak planks and no reactive stains or colored oils are used in this process. Working within the tannin of the oak planks, an accelerating aging and coloring process takes place, which achieves the matte patina and translucent colors of an authentic reclaimed French oak floor.  They arrive pre-finished for the patina and color are now apart of the surface texture of the wood floor - there are neither stains nor oils floating on its surface.  As well, these hardwood planks are from sustainably managed forests, where the solid and engineered planks are PEFC Certified and the panels and patterns are FSC Certified.
