Conques-en-Rouergue is located in southern France along the Lot River.  The village, situated around its abbey, was built in the 11th century and still stands many wooden house facades covered in stone.  It's one of the most beautiful medieval villages we have ever visited, and it is here we reclaimed a terra cotta tile lot that feels medieval.  From its color range to its patina - the quality of this clay tile is magnificent.  Most intriguing are the color hues - ranging from forest oak and mushroom to chestnut, gray and blossom.  This extraordinary palette will anchor an interior with an historic and elegant prominence.  The patina is clearly leather worn from centuries of wear -  a sublime matte texture that transport you to Provence 1740.  We paired this French reclaimed terra cotta tile hexagon with one of our most handsome French oak floors - 18th Century French Oak Floors: WARM CHESTNUT.  The extra wide oak planks with it's highly brushed surface and rich warm chestnut colors marry with the brown hues of this clay floor - while the blossom and peach colors enlighten the aesthetic.
