Dutch tiles are world famous and this reclaimed antique grey Dutch terra cotta tile is no exception.  Salvaged from a dilapidated home in one of the most beautiful and historic cities in Holland, we were lucky to procure this seemingly medieval looking hand made Dutch grey terra cotta tile.  The colors are solidly grey but have dimension of various grey hues that add such beauty to this tile.  The surface textures are a matte patina with square but aged edging -  which reveals the wear this terra cotta tile floor received over generations.  Maybe a few footsteps perhaps...in clogs?  We marry this antique grey terra cotta tile with our 18th Century French Oak Floors The Country House Collection in BURNT OAK.  Its historic authenticity, warm burnt oak hues and wide-plank handsomeness is a serious partner to the cooler grey terra cotta tiles.  This is a true Dutch mood board that sends you back in time.

Cleaning and Maintenance:  Vacuum, then clean with Black Soap (Savon Noir) to disinfect, maintain, protect and enhance patina.
