Antique French stone fireplace mantels are elegant works of art that bring a warmth and ambiance to an interior decor. History added to a space with a story behind each mantel - recall the stone mason with years honing his craft, finessing inert blocks of limestone or marble into a beautiful focal point that is all at once functional and authentic.
Reference: Mantel Pavé 110 has a place in history. This French marble mantel from the 19th Century in the Louis XVI style is a focal point due to the French marble's exquisite marble coloring, veining and relief carvings. The coloring of this marble mantel - an ensemble of water colored white, black and grey veining radiates elegance and authenticity. There is an artistic tension between the geometric square pattern end points on the top face of the mantel contrasting beautifully with the soft curved legs and ribbon relief motifs cascading gently down it's legs. The boldness of the black and white marble could be easily softened with a warm wood floor - but what marries spectacularly is our 18th century reclaimed Italian bianco carrara and nero cabochon marble flooring.
