Ménerbes, located in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of Southeastern France, is officially known as one of the most beautiful villages of France. This walled village finds itself on the hilltop of the Luberon Mountains. The view is breathtaking and so is this beautiful terra cotta tile octagon lot we salvaged from this region. Dating back to the very early 18th century, the patina on this terra cotta tile is magnificent. With the edge details precise but incredibly aged, the surface texture and it's perimeter feel and look like worn leather. The cabochon tiles that are set around the octagon are added by us - antique Belgian bluestone, making both materials pop. We are in love with the deep red earth hues, the variety of colors from chestnut and cream to clay and terra cotta red - this lot brings you in for it's warmth and authenticity. We paired this floor with our Olde Stones of Oud-Rekem 17th Century Masonry Belgian Bluestone Flooring. This is a handsome antiqued Belgian bluestone floor, hand-finished following 17th century masonry techniques. Together - these two materials would elevate an English Country home, French manor, NYC Brownstone, carriage house...take you pick.
