Antique French Hexagon Terra Cotta Flooring Salvaged from a former Parisian Candy Store

Salvaged from a former Parisian confiserie, this collection of reclaimed French terra cotta floor tiles has a color palette remarkably reminiscent of traditional French bonbons. Sugared almond, pale apricot, faded rose, buttery cream, and honey-colored clay appear in varying proportions across these antique terra cotta hexagons.

Due to years of wear - patina has developed, the edges have softened from age and small irregularities carry the history of each footprint. This antique clay lot has a gently shifting pattern of subtle colors that feels historic, yet joyful and luminious.

This collection of reclaimed French terra cotta floor tiles brings together antique hexagonal tomettes and coordinating square tiles, offering remarkable design versatility. These authentic salvaged French clay tiles can be laid separately or combined to create traditional borders, framed floors, and distinctive geometric patterns, lending architectural character to both historic and contemporary interiors.

We have named this collection Parisian Confiserie, a reference to both its unusual provenance and the delicate, almost powdery colors of the reclaimed clay. Paired with French oak flooring, pale limestone, or traditional lime-plastered walls, these antique tiles offer a particularly beautiful interpretation of historic French flooring.
