The most meaningful way to evaluate materials for fine home building projects is to experience them installed. Even the most seasoned architect, interior designer, or builder cannot fully understand the depth of color, variation, and surface character of limestone—or the nuanced tannin interplay created through oxidation in French oak flooring—from a small sample alone. We hold ourselves to the same standard when selecting new materials; we assess every product in installed applications to truly understand its performance, appearance, and character.
This is why we continually build and refine our showroom—not only for our clients, but to ensure that we fully understand the materials we offer. We welcome private and video appointments, and maintain an up-to-date e-commerce website with detailed imagery that accurately represents the beauty, texture, and patina of each collection.
Due to artisanal craftsmanship and natural variation of limestone and oak flooring, a sample does not accurately represent the breadth, texture and color variation of an entire floor installation. The images we painstakingly photograph ourselves that we upload onto our website are the truest indication of each material. Requesting "just a small sample" so one can have something to show or compare to other sourced samples will hinder knowledge of our products.
Finally, requesting entire French limestone tiles involves extensive packing time for our company and extremely costly for the client. One French limestone tile weighs 25-35 pounds/piece. Understanding the weight and cost factor as well as the failure that one tile still won't represent an entire floor leaves us in the position to not work with samples.
Our website, pavehdm.com is a love letter to our materials and to our clients. The bar is held very high in how we represent to the public as a company, our creativity and art behind our website and our authenticity of how we represent our materials. This is an e-commerce site where one can receive on-the-spot shipping quotes and purchase in-stock materials from some of the most highly venerated fabricators in France, Belgium, Italy and England.
Our showroom, Pavé Tile, Wood & Stone, Inc. is another meticulous work of art Make an appointment to view our materials installed to gain knowledge of the beautiful colors, textures and variations that each material offers.
