Évaux-les-Bains is located in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in central France.  A spa town founded by the Romans in the first century, they developed here thermal baths.  This is an area of lakes and streams and the small town, situated between the valleys of the rivers Cher and Tardes, is breathtaking.  I am always fascinated how the reclaimed tiles we salvage mirror many times the clay roof tiles of the hamlets in which they were found.  This time is no exception.  The lot we were lucky enough to procure has classic, rich red terra cotta colors as well as stone and gray  - like the clay roof tiles - as well as cream, apricot and ochre.  The lot has exceptional patina - time worn and satiny.  The craftsmanship is exacting - with straight and now aged edges that allow for beautiful edge detail once installed.

Cleaning and Maintenance:  Vacuum, then clean with Black Soap (Savon Noir) to disinfect, maintain, protect and enhance patina.
