Apremont-sur-Allier, located in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France, is an area of forestry and farming dating back to the 12th century. The river Allier, the left tributary of the Loire River, runs through the small village of Apremont-sur-Allier, making it a fairytale town of beauty and tranquility. This lot we salvaged just outside of the village, from a dilapidated mas, is one of our oldest, we believe, due to it's deep saturation of colors and patina. The colors are rich in earthen hues, the texture is worn into that prized, satin patina that we look for in antique material and the slightly rounded edges reveal the wear through centuries. Exuding history - it deserves to be repurposed fitting of it's character, like in a renovated 18th century farmhouse with wide-plank French oak floors (like our Kings of France 18th Century French Oak Floors from the Olde Oak Collection: color - Sussex), creamy white plaster on the walls and an antique French limestone fireplace.
Recommended Sealer after Installation: Akemi Stone Impregnation for French Reclaimed Terra Cotta Tile Flooring
Cleaning and Maintenance: Vacuum, then clean with Black Soap (Savon Noir) to disinfect, maintain, protect and enhance patina.
