The Country House Collection is an heroic French oak wood floor.  Heroic in size - widths up to 11" wide to 118" long, incredible texture and nuanced colors.  The specific texture of the Country House Collection is smooth to the touch, yet one feels under foot the cascading grain and beautiful curves that vary within each plank. These colors are not arrived by stains or oils, but by an oxidation process working within the oak tannin that actually changes the composition of the wood fibers. This is a 7-10 step process with drying times in between each plank.  The boards are then individually worked and crafted to achieve the authenticity of this incredible 18th century patina.  The texture and finish cannot be reproduced on site. Over time, these wood floors will continue to age and patina in one's home.  They are stunning.

Color Way: Harvest Wheat is the color of French wheat fields on a summer's day.  With a mixed tonal value of dark and light wheat colors, this is the French oak floor to create the classic Belgian style interior when paired with antique Belgian bluestone or la Petite Granite Belgian Bluestone floor.

Grade: Rustic A, B and C with open knots filled, cracks, a larger range of colour variation and sap which allows for the incredible reclaimed appearance of these floors.

Edges: Rounded, Double Grooves on the Two Long Sides + False Tongues, End Squared.

Harvest Wheat is offered in wide plank solid and engineered flooring (TOP LAYER 6 mm), as well as herringbone, chevron, parquet floors and custom stair risers and treads.

By choosing this wood, one accepts the characteristics of the oak including knots, color variations, veins and surface cracks which makes up the identity of this floor. Inspired by reclaimed wood, these floors are made with great precision using a combination of processes.  Each plank is finished by hand.  Because the color is achieved through the oxidation process working with the natural tannin of the oak, each floor will be unique with it's own identity and authentic character. The oxidation method allows for the wood to continue aging that creates even more patina over time.  NOTE: Due to the specific way these planks are sawed to reveal the most beautiful grain, planks can raise more or less tonal variations and large planks in the XL range are manufactured from rustic wood choices with filled large open knots and cracks which adds to the overall aesthetic of the floor.  They cannot be regarded as defects - but only add to the authenticity and unique qualities of these floors.
