Delft Tiles – Hand-Painted Blue and White Delft Ceramic Wall Tiles

Our hand-painted Delft tiles are inspired by 17th-century Dutch Delftware and historic museum pieces, featuring classic blue and white motifs, including botanical blossoms and butterfly designs. Created by artist Emmi Micallef, co-founder of Historic Decorative Materials and Pavé Tile, Wood & Stone, each Delft tile is individually hand-painted and kiln-fired in a traditional Delft blue glaze onto a handmade ceramic tile.

These artisan Delft tiles are designed for kitchens, fireplaces, and architectural wall installations, offering timeless European character and historic authenticity. The collection includes antiqued field tiles available in two refined finishes—Historic Cool White and Vintage Warm White—carefully developed to complement reclaimed wood, natural stone, antique cement tile, and aged European materials.

Field Tile Color Note:
Historic White is a warm, balanced white—softer than a cool, blue-based white, yet still crisp and clearly white in appearance. It offers a clean, refined tone without feeling stark.

Vintage Warm White is our warmest white, designed to harmonize beautifully with reclaimed and antiqued materials. It pairs especially well with French limestone, Belgian bluestone, antique cement tile, French oak flooring, and reclaimed terra cotta, complementing the depth and patina of these aged surfaces.
