This 200-year old antique French fireplace mantel has a patina and softness from the many hands who have graced it's regal limestone and hand chiseled masonry - if only it could talk!  Richly detailed, the hand carvings are a beautiful balance of masculine and feminine forms.  From strong geometric shapes and scroll work on the legs to the delicate rosettes and symmetrical vine work on it's corners and face. A broken ivory color - ivoire cassé - it pairs wonderfully and fittingly with our Marie Antoinette Aged French Limestone flooring.
