Medieval English King's Armor Decorative Wall Tile Inspired by 14th-Century Gothic Encaustic Designs

Hand-painted English Gothic ceramic wall tile inspired by 14th-century encaustic tile traditions, King's Armor is an original decorative design within the Carriage House Collection by Historic Decorative Materials. Drawing upon the heraldic ornament and geometric symbolism of medieval English armor, this motif evokes the craftsmanship and ceremonial traditions of Gothic England.

Originally interpreted and painted by Emmi Micallef, co-founder of Historic Decorative Materials, the King's Armor design is rendered in Medieval Grey, a muted warm grey, against a Vintage Warm White ceramic field. Each tile is individually hand-painted and kiln-fired, with a delicately crackled glaze that recalls the softly aged surfaces of historic English decorative ceramics.

Designed to coordinate with the Carriage House Collection's heraldic motifs, borders, and moldings, these English Gothic ceramic wall tiles can be used in fireplace surrounds, kitchen backsplashes, bathroom walls, and decorative architectural panels. The restrained warm grey and antiqued white palette complements reclaimed French oak flooring, antiqued limestone, Belgian bluestone, and both historic and contemporary European interiors.
