Originally hand-painted by Emmi Micallef, co-founder of Historic Decorative Materials and Pavé Tile, Wood & Stone, Inc., Monet Gate interprets this French ceramic heritage through an original motif that balances architectural geometry with the charm of 19th-century decorative arts.
Each ceramic wall tile is kiln-fired at the Pavé facility in a rich French Blue decorative glaze, applied against a choice of Historic Cool White or Vintage Warm White. The combination creates the characteristic blue and white palette associated with traditional French faience and the decorative tile installations of historic country houses.
Ideal for elegant European kitchen backsplashes, blue and white bathroom wall tiles, decorative fireplace surrounds, and traditional European interiors, Monet Gate can be incorporated into repeating geometric patterns or used as an individual decorative accent.
