Named in homage to Galileo Galilei, whose astronomical discoveries transformed European understanding of the heavens, Stelle di Galileo celebrates the relationship between art, geometry, and scientific curiosity. Its Renaissance-inspired design is an original painting by Emmi Micallef, co-founder of Historic Decorative Materials and Pavé Tile, Wood & Stone, Inc., reflecting the disciplined ornamentation and balanced proportions characteristic of historic Italian decorative arts.
Each handmade ceramic wall tile is kiln-fired at the Pavé facility in a rich Florentine Midnight Blue glaze, set against Historic White or Vintage Warm White. A subtle crackled finish lends texture and depth to the ceramic surface, recalling the aged character of traditional European glazed tiles.
Designed for Italian Renaissance kitchen backsplashes, decorative bathroom walls, fireplace surrounds, and architectural wall installations, Stelle di Galileo can be used individually as an ornamental accent or arranged in repeating patterns.
