Antiqued French blue and white ceramic border tiles featuring the historic fleur-de-lys motif bring classical French ornamentation to traditional and refined interiors. Part of the Cuisine de Monet Collection, this decorative wall tile draws inspiration from 19th-century Rouen faience and the celebrated tiled kitchen of Claude Monet's home in Giverny, France.
The fleur-de-lys, a centuries-old emblem of French heraldry and decorative arts, lends architectural distinction to this hand-painted border design. Originally painted by Emmi Micallef, co-founder of Historic Decorative Materials, each ceramic tile is kiln-fired at the Pavé facility in a rich French Blue glaze and finished with a delicate hand-crazed, antiqued surface reminiscent of historic French ceramics.
Designed for decorative kitchen backsplash borders, bathroom walls, fireplace surrounds, and architectural tile installations, the Fleur-de-Lys Border creates elegant transitions and ornamental framing within blue and white ceramic tile compositions. Its historic French character complements antiqued limestone, reclaimed French oak, Belgian bluestone, and antique terra cotta flooring.
Historic Cool White: A crisp, cooler white that creates a luminous contrast with the French Blue decorative glaze, highlighting the fleur-de-lys ornamentation.
Vintage Warm White: Our warmest white, with a softened, aged appearance that harmonizes with reclaimed European materials, including antiqued French limestone, Belgian bluestone, antique cement tiles, French oak flooring, and reclaimed French terra cotta.
