Have you ever been to Spain? Spain in summertime? If yes, you will know the brilliance of a Spanish sun. The clay in Spain seemed to have absorbed this enriching sun centuries ago, because there is a specific reclaimed Spanish terra cotta tile that wants all to know that they were nourished by the Spanish sun. Maybe it was the way this reclaimed terra cotta tile was hand molded then etched with the fingertips of the artisans producing these tiles - one-by-one. Maybe it was the way this tile was fired in beehive kilns using olive wood and olive pits to engineer the hottest of wood burning fires - blasting heat to help coax the clay into pure sunshine, with blush and ochre tones to soften it's glorious color palette. Whatever those circumstances were so long ago - we bare witness to a reclaimed terra cotta tile that sings of summertime joy, asking you please to walk barefoot upon them.
