DID YOU KNOW...depending on how one installs and seals the French reclaimed terra cotta tile parefeuille, the products one chooses to use - one can achieve different nuances of this floor?  If the matte, stone like patina with soft colors is the goal - one would use a sealer, no wax that does not enhance the color of the clay.  If one prefers a more saturated color and enhanced patina and sheen of this floor, one can use a sealer to bring out the color and apply a final wax coat for a soft sheen.  FINALLY - the images are of the parefeuille, not installed without sealer or wax.  The tile will arrive in this state and after installation, seal with a non-enhancing sealer that will retain this soft color palette and matte surface like the images shown.

Salvaged from dilapidated structures in and around Provence, these authentic French reclaimed terra cotta tiles are in the parefeuille shape.  This French reclaimed terra cotta tile rectangle allows for an elegant, tight grout line due to the quality and high-firing of this tile nearly 150 years ago. The colors of this lot are a beautiful mix of yellow, soft blush, ochre and salmon colors.  As per usual, this reclaimed parefeuille is a hand made terra cotta tile, of the highest quality.  The French terra cotta tile parefeuille is an authentic French building material used for centuries. Salvaged from ceilings in old farmhouses and out buildings throughout the South of France - this hand made terra cotta tile shows occasionally the stamp of the factory - made in Gard, France and even a cat or dog print of one is lucky!

Recommended Sealer after Installation:  Akemi Stone Impregnation for French Reclaimed Terra Cotta Tile Flooring

Cleaning and Maintenance:  Vacuum, then clean with Black Soap (Savon Noir) to disinfect, maintain, protect and enhance patina.
